A pre-registered evaluation of whether Claude Code skills improve results. The pass bars were committed to git before any run, so they couldn't move after the results came in.

0/15 → 15/15 F005: target checks with the skill. It then failed a pre-registered harm check (−8.3 against a −5 limit), so nothing shipped.

    • Sole technical lead for the site and its AWS environment. Fixed the database bottlenecks that threatened uptime, with no unplanned downtime over 24 months.
    • Built a custom WordPress theme synced in real time with the Wine Hub inventory API.
    • Replaced paid premium plugins with an in-house plugin for API-driven product tables, saving about USD 500 a month in licence fees.
    • Grew organic traffic by 50%+ within 6 months with semantic HTML, technical SEO and faster pages.

I've spent 5+ years building and running production sites, fully remote, for companies in Singapore and Taiwan.

Lately I build with AI coding agents, and I test them. I care about proving code works, not just that it runs.
